Don Gough
Managing Director

Don Gough has held senior marketing and management positions with a number of leading Australian and international organisations over a career spanning more than 30 years. His initial focus was on the marketing of products - for CSR, Colgate Palmolive, Cottees General Foods and Alberto Culver, where he was National Marketing Manager.

Don became interested in services marketing and joined Coopers & Lybrand as National Marketing Director, a position he held for seven years. Having established a reputation in professional services marketing, he was appointed National Marketing Director of leading law firm, Clayton Utz, in 1992. He left Clayton Utz in 2000 to join Black Isle.

Don graduated in commerce from Queensland University, with an accounting major. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and past Chairman of the AIM's Marketing Group. He is a Trustee of CEDA.

Carolyn Fletcher
Principal

Carolyn has a Masters Degree from Sydney University. She worked in marketing, merchant banking, policy research and urban planning before becoming Vice President of the NSW Liberal Party. She was a member of the Party's Executive, and chaired Party Conventions, State Council Meetings and Policy Development and Strategy Committees.

Since her return to Australia from the United Kingdom in 1990 she has been a Director of the Darling Harbour Authority, a member of the NSW Women's Advisory Council, and a member of the NSW Dental Board. She was a member of the Management Board of the Women's College Foundation within the University of Sydney, and was chair person of the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) for seven years. She now sits on the Advisory Committee of the ATYP. She is Director of the Harland Cambodia Fund which is a community partner of the Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific.

Carolyn joined Black Isle Communications in 1994 bringing a wealth of experience of the challenges and opportunities facing executives and board members in the area of spoken communication and presentation skills.
